Message from the Chief Executive Officer

“Every child deserves an opportunity to dream, and no dream should be denied simply because a family cannot afford an education.”

At ILM SOCIETY, we believe that education is far more than the acquisition of knowledge. It is a fundamental right, a source of dignity, and one of the most powerful instruments for transforming lives. Behind every child deprived of education is untapped potential, and behind every opportunity we create is the possibility of changing not just one life, but an entire generation.

Our journey is rooted in the vision of our late founder, Usman Moon, ACA, whose commitment to serving underprivileged communities continues to inspire our mission. His belief that education should be accessible to every deserving child remains at the heart of everything we strive to achieve. As we move forward, we carry his legacy not merely as a memory, but as a responsibility.

As a finance and governance professional, I firmly believe that compassion gives a charitable organisation its purpose, while integrity, accountability, and transparency give it the strength to fulfil that purpose. Every contribution entrusted to us represents someone’s generosity, someone’s sacrifice, and, most importantly, a child’s hope for a brighter tomorrow. Protecting that trust is both our professional obligation and our moral responsibility.

Our ambition is not simply to provide financial assistance. We aspire to create opportunities that enable children to learn with dignity, develop confidence, acquire essential skills, and ultimately become independent individuals capable of contributing meaningfully to society.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to my beloved friend and late founder, Usman Moon, ACA, whose vision and compassion laid the foundation for this noble cause. I am equally grateful to our trustees, volunteers, educators, donors, and well-wishers whose unwavering support continues to carry his legacy forward, reminding us that meaningful change is built through shared purpose, integrity, and selfless dedication.

I believe the true measure of our success will not be how much we collect, but how many lives we transform; not how many promises we make, but how many futures we help secure.

Together, let us build a society where financial hardship does not determine a child’s future, where education restores hope, and where every act of generosity becomes an investment in humanity.
